About The Faculty
The Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine is dedicated to training future professionals in agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine. The program consists of a one-year foundation course followed by four years of specialized study, encompassing two main departments: Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
During the foundation year, students are introduced to essential concepts in biological sciences, chemistry, and agricultural practices, providing a solid basis for the advanced coursework ahead. After this foundational year, students can specialize in either Agriculture or Veterinary Medicine
The Agriculture department focuses on various aspects of crop production, soil management, and sustainable farming practices. Students engage in hands-on training through practical experiences in greenhouses and agricultural areas located in Afgooye and Balcad. This practical training allows students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world agricultural challenges and develop skills in modern farming techniques.
The Veterinary Medicine department prepares students to care for animals and manage veterinary practices. The curriculum includes subjects such as animal anatomy, pharmacology, and clinical skills, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped to provide high-quality veterinary care
The Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine is equipped with modern facilities, including laboratories and training farms, which support experiential learning.
